A brief view to history:
Our school started as a tap school in the fall of 1984. Soon the school will be 40 years old and the celebrations should start well in advance. Let's start the party with Tappers and Irish Dance rhythms.
In 1984, we really started in the basement of Kulttuuritalo with six tap lessons. Soon we moved to our own studio built in the basement of the President Hotel. Tap was well suited to the basements and we had fun there until 1998, when we moved to Kaivokatu to the "Vintti" studios. From the basement straight to the penthouse, not bad, huh?
Grow or grow more was the thinking of the dancers at the time, and when we found Mansku studios on Mannerheimintie, we didn't think about the financial burdens, but fell in love with the space's spacious height.
So, Mansku has been dancing for almost 23 years now. Our school has raised several generations of dancers, after all, our school already has grandmother-mother-child dance families. We have done an amazing amount of dancing together. Let's celebrate it together.
