Our teaching is in line with the extended teaching plan for basic art education. It means that the student progresses from level to level each year. However, this requires constant involvement. At levels Pt (= basic level) the student should attend teaching twice a week, at levels J1-J2 she should attend teaching three times a week. The student cannot decide to move from one level to another, but the teacher makes the transfer recommendation. Pupils who take part in teaching during the summer season can therefore replace their credits left open during the autumn season and thus be able to move to a level they would not have reached yet on the basis of their performance during the spring season and their level.
You haven’t danced before or you’re starting a whole new dance genre.
You have attended beginners classes for at least six months or you have been dancing before and you are returning to a hobby.
You have been dancing as a child or you have attended a beginners' lesson for at least one school year.
Jatko 1 (J1):
You have attended beginners' classes for at least one academic year. The teacher can choose to move you back to basic level.
Jatko 2 (J2), Jatko 3 (J3), Edistyneet:
You master the terminology and are able to make a series of steps that require remembering as well as mastery of the technique of that genre. This level must be attended at least 2 times a week for lessons and the length of the lessons is 90 min.
If you are unsure of your own level, contact our student office and we will help you choose the right lesson. Own level is best found by experimenting.
