Marita Weinrank

//Ballet// Marita has studied dance at Tallinn Ballet School during 2008-2016. During that time, he also visited The Royal Swedish ballet School in Stockholm for two years. After graduating, Marita has worked from 2016 until spring 2022 as a demi-soloist at the Estonian National Opera.

Some examples of her ballet competition achievements:

• Youth American Grand Prix Finals NY 2015 - Finalist top 20
• International Ballet Competition Grasse, France 2013 - 1st place
• The Nordic Baltic Ballet Competition Falun, Sweden 2015 - 4th place

The basis of her teaching idea is that dance should be an exciting hobby, not scary and oppressive. When dancing, you have to forget everything else and immerse yourself in the wonderful vortex of dance. Marita is a warm and affectionate and very approachable teacher. However, technique is at the center of dance teaching and it is honed in connection with dance material.

Now that she has moved to Finland, Marita joins the teaching staff at Footlight and is excited to be able to share her knowledge with Finnish ballet dancers
