Gabriella Serra

Gabriella is originally from Italy. She was educated in Cannes at the famous ballet school Center de Danse International Rosella Hightower (now Ècole Supérieure de danse de Cannes Rosella Hightower), where she studied under the direction of Paris Opera teachers and star dancer Rosella Hightower. She has worked as a dancer in Belgium, Italy, Germany and in several productions of the Finnish National Opera with work-specific contracts. In Footlight, Gabriella has been teaching from 2008 for beginners to advanced. She has been active on the board of Tanssille ry (2009-2014) and has held classical ballet morning lessons for Tanssille ry's professionals.

In addition to teaching, he has constantly strived to develop her pedagogical activities: he has participated in courses organized by the Ballet Educators' Association (2007-2013); completed specialization studies in dance pedagogy at the Faculty of Sports Science of the University of Jyväskylä (2012-2013); and in the fall of 2019, she graduated with a Master of Arts (MA) in Dance from the University of Rome: the Accademia Nazionale di Danza, with a degree in classical ballet pedagogy. Gabriella’s education is largely based on the style of the French school, but during her working life she has absorbed influences from different schools and different styles. In his teaching, she combines the methodology of a Russian school, the rapid footwork characteristic of the French style, and the dynamism of Italian technology.
