Anneke Lönnroth began her studies at the age of 5 as a student of Airi Säilä and later Marin Veltchev in Helsinki. Deepened her studies at the Sofia Choreographic Ballet School in Bulgaria and participated in domestic and international ballet competitions (Varna, USA). Attachment to the Finnish National Ballet from 1984 to autumn 2010.
She danced in countless works from a wide and varied career from modern and contemporary ballet to classical lead roles for nearly 30 years and participated in numerous visits and tours around the world. Contemporary choreographers include Mats Ek, Uotinen, Naharin, Galileo, Johnson (solo work Passage ..), etc.
Classics such as Bajadeer (Gamzatti), Giselle -Sylvie Guillem, Don Quixote, Swan Lake… Especially close to the main roles in the ballets Onegin and Seagull.
Working with the world’s top choreographers and educators has also brought inspiration to teaching. In addition to performing, Anneke has actively taught professional dancers as well as dance students and adult learners in various fields in recent years.
